Other than that it’s an incredible DAW that literally can do anything…īut this fundamental graphics speed is such an issue, it literally ruins any joy in the composition and arranging process for me.

Istat menus shows 15% of the discrete GPU memory being used, and barely any processor usage, cubase itself shows the cpu bar at it’s lowest.Īll i wanted from cubase was good quality time stretch on rhythms (like an auto slice mode aka S1 drum mode, Pro tools rhythm, Logic thythm, ableton drums mode) and the gui to respond. Selecting a clip on the arrange page to move it, has a delay between click and the clip going black ie selected, and then moving.īut say i have clips on multiple tracks selected, and i click in an empty area of the arrange page to deselect everything. Right now I have a project with TWO audio tracks, and NO instruments! Just two drum audio loops. The thing is, if my cpu usage was high, graphics card memory usage was high or the project was just generally a very busy one, i would understand.īut this is literally with any project.

It was basically a totally maxed out model a couple years back, and even the new top of the range 2.8ghz isn’t that much faster, although it has better graphics.
